The role of family and school in environmental education

The article considers the importance of environmental education of primary school students as one of the main components of the modern education system. It is emphasized that the deterioration of the environmental situation requires children to develop a sensitive attitude to nature from an early age. The main attention is paid to the interaction of the family and school as the main institutions influencing the child's environmental worldview. The pedagogical conditions necessary for successful interaction are described: the development of environmental literacy of parents, the formation of trusting relationships between parents and school, the active involvement of parents in the learning process through environmental projects and events. Environmental education in primary school plays an important role in the formation of a responsible attitude of children to the environment. During this period, the foundations of environmental culture are laid, which will become the basis for conscious behavior in the future. The article emphasizes that the coordinated efforts of the school and family are the most important factor in the formation of environmental responsibility and culture in children. An example of a program for an environmental event at school is also given.
