The media is the most important institution of civil society, the communicator and representative of the socio-economic and political interests of the people. Like all institutions of civil society, it lives in cooperation with other public and state institutions. Attempts to influence the processes taking place in Kyrgyz society. Due to the revolutionary changes that have taken place in the media market in recent years, modern researchers consider it not only as a factor of development, but also as a structural element of civil society. It is the media that is tasked with creating a channel for the exchange of views and the expression of the positions of the parties. The article examines the role and place of the media in civil society.
