THE ROLE OF A LITERATURE LESSON IN THE FORMATION OF ETHNOCULTURAL COMPETENCE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This article analyzes the role of literary reading lessons in the formation of ethnocultural competence of primary school students. It is emphasized that literary reading lessons are of particular importance in teaching ethnocultural values and preserving national characteristics. The study examines the methodological approaches used in the development of students' ethnocultural competence, the content of teaching, and the inclusion of local cultural characteristics in the teaching process. As a result, literary reading lessons are considered one of the main tools in the formation of ethnocultural competence. Ethnocultural competence is one of the main factors of personal and social development. It educates each person to understand their cultural roots and respect other cultures. These qualities shape a person into a full-fledged citizen, a responsible individual, and create the conditions for becoming a part of the global community.
