FORMATION OF MATHEMATICAL LITERACY IN PRIMARY STUDENTS

The scientific article studies the process of developing mathematical literacy in primary school students. Mathematical literacy is an important quality aimed at developing students' logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude towards mathematics in practical life. Thus, the closest part of the real world is the personal and school life of students, followed by their professional activities, the daily life of the local community and humanity as a whole. The importance of developing mathematical literacy in primary school students is the need to form skills in students to apply the knowledge they have acquired in real life situations. The study proposes special methods and learning strategies for primary school students and analyzes how they help them quickly and accurately master mathematical concepts. The article studies methods for developing mathematical literacy using various didactic materials, game elements, and practical tasks used in mathematics lessons, and proves their effectiveness. In addition, the article provides recommendations for teachers and specific advice on teaching mathematics to students in an interesting way.
