This article discusses both the positive and negative effects of social media on academic performance at school. The content highlights the need to develop information security and media literacy among students. The role of schools, teachers, and parents is crucial for developing students' civic engagement, creativity, and positive habits through the proper and responsible use of social media. The article discusses the issues of preventing cyberbullying, controlling the emotional state of students and observing ethical standards in the digital space. Examples include transmitting important information through the school's official pages, motivating students, and sharing information about social events. The content includes the use of social media as an effective tool in the learning process, suggestions for preparing students to use modern technologies and raising public opinion. The joint efforts of parents and school management contribute to improving students' attitudes towards the educational process and educational work. These proposals play an important role in promoting the future universal development of students and becoming responsible citizens in society.
