In the scientific article, the influence of environmental factors, in particular drought, on the growth of agricultural plants was studied. It also contains data on the plant's ability to achieve optimal processes occurring in the body by adapting to adverse environmental conditions. Information is given that as a result of the effects of drought in the plant body, a number of physiological and biochemical processes change, and also that protection from the effects of various conditions is carried out through the features of their anatomical structure. Detailed information is given on the division of plants into different groups depending on the presence of moisture and morphological and anatomical features of each of them. Based on experimental studies, relatively drought-resistant agricultural plants have been identified, and plant productivity is currently growing, and ways to increase their resistance to drought in various ways are described
