The significance of trees and shrubs growing in urban green zones, including even small public gardens, is steadily increasing annually. This is attributed to their ecological and social benefits for cities and urban populations. However, the adverse effects associated with climate change lead to the deterioration of plant health and pose a threat of fungal disease infestation.
The aim of this study was to identify fungal diseases affecting trees and shrubs in the city of Osh and to develop protection measures based on best practices.
During the research, disease pathogens were identified based on their morphological characteristics (macro and microscopic).
The study results demonstrated that three fungal diseases were identified within the territory of Osh city, for which control measures are proposed.
