Abstract

The article reveals the role of traditional sports games of the Turkic peoples in the physical and spiritual education of the younger generation in the past, present, and future. The plots of the work “Kutadgu Bilig” related to the bow and archery are examined, as well as the symbolic meaning of the bow and arrows in an allegorical sense. The article also highlights their special educational function in shaping a physically and spiritually healthy, harmoniously developed personality.
