In modern education, digital technologies are becoming an integral part of learning, and their role is constantly expanding. This article analyzes the role and place of digital technologies in teaching a foreign language in the higher education system. Digital technologies help to make education more interactive, accessible and effective, which greatly helps to improve students' language skills. The article discusses the main digital tools and platforms used for teaching foreign languages, their advantages and ways of practical use. In particular, the impact of online learning platforms, mobile applications, artificial intelligence and virtual augmented reality technologies on language learning will be analyzed. It also shows the main obstacles these technologies face and how to solve them. Based on the research, practical recommendations will be given on the effective use of digital technologies in teaching foreign languages in higher education institutions. This article is an important resource for teachers, researchers, and educational professionals seeking to successfully integrate digital technologies into the language learning process.
