THE PLACE IN LIFE OF COMMON EDUCATIONAL IDEAS IN THE PROVERBS OF TURKIC-SPEAKING PEOPLES

Abstract

This article reveals the educational significance of similar-in-meaning proverbs among Turkic-speaking peoples. The educational value of proverbs is explained through their call for the younger generation to embrace humanity, diligence, knowledge, and justice. These works reflect the life philosophy of the ancestors and preserve the most important values of social relations. In the Turkic world in particular, the concept of upbringing has always been associated with respect for elders, consideration for the younger, reverence for parents, striving for work, harmony, and an interest in learning. Within the historical and cultural heritage of each people, proverbs and sayings occupy a special place. A proverb is a short but deeply meaningful expression that has arisen from centuries of experience, wisdom, and worldview of the people. The proverbs and sayings of Turkic-speaking peoples are not only a treasury of words but also a mirror of history, culture, and the spiritual world. Their content reflects the general principles of educating the younger generation. The proverbs and sayings of Turkic-speaking peoples are a great spiritual heritage. Although they are expressed in the language of each particular nation, their educational ideas are unified.
