Trends in the development of modern higher pedagogical education in Russia

The article examines the main tasks of modern higher pedagogical education in Russia and ways to solve them, assesses the state of the educational system, examines its main functional characteristics, and evaluates promising areas of development. The development of human potential, the formation of professional qualities of a graduate of a pedagogical university, and responses to modern challenges are the mission of the country's pedagogical universities. The article analyzes the creation of an integrated, flexible and unified education system, the core of higher pedagogical education, a unique education program, the formation of signs and qualitative characteristics of the sovereign education system in Russia, the transition to a two-tier education system, the construction of a "career field" for students, new approaches to organizing continuous pedagogical practice, the development of mentoring, the path of becoming a teacher from training in teaching classes before independent work and postgraduate education
