ADVANTAGES OF PROJECT-RESEARCH ACTIVITIES OF STUDENTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE LESSONS

Abstract

This article discusses the importance and effectiveness of introducing project-based research activities into the educational process in computer science in comprehensive schools. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to modernize educational approaches to develop students' skills that meet the requirements of the digital literacy. The study is aimed at identifying the key advantages of this approach, including increasing motivation, developing critical thinking, improving teamwork skills and practical application of theoretical knowledge. An integrated approach was used as a methodological basis, including an analysis of scientific and methodological literature, as well as a generalization of the practical experience of computer science teachers and students. The results of the study show that project-based research activities contribute to a deeper assimilation of the material, the formation of independence and responsibility. In conclusion, the results of the work done are summarized and recommendations are offered for the integration of project-based methods into the school computer science curriculum to prepare the younger generation for the challenges of the modern information society.
