Abstract

The article presents an assessment of the condition of riparian vegetation along the Ak-Buura River in Osh city based on the analysis of multispectral satellite data. Vegetation indices NDVI, NDRE, MSAVI, RECI, NDMI and NDSI were used to reflect the greenness, moisture content, and physiological condition of the vegetation. The analysis was carried out using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery and GIS technologies. The obtained results made it possible to identify areas with different degrees of degradation and to determine the impact of anthropogenic factors on the state of riparian vegetation. The proposed approach can be applied for regular monitoring of the ecological condition of water protection zones and for managing the green infrastructure of urbanized areas.
