This article explores the development of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in the Kyrgyz Republic, focusing on its current state, key challenges, and future prospects. The study analyzes the outcomes of national and international projects, teacher training initiatives, and the condition of educational infrastructure. It also describes the role of international organizations, their funding mechanisms, and teacher professional development programs. Particular attention is given to the significance of STEM education, its various forms, and the importance of integrating all aspects of education beyond the four main STEM disciplines. The author emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach to implementing STEM education. The article concludes with practical recommendations and proposed steps for further advancement of STEM education in Kyrgyzstan.
