Abstract

The actuality of this study is based on  insufficient research of synchronous and comparative analysis of phraseological units of the Kyrgyz and Russian languages about the physical state of a person. The purpose of this study is to identify the similarities and differences in the typological features of phraseological units, taking into account the peculiarities of the linguistic picture of the world in the Russian and Kyrgyz languages. Based on synchronous-comparative analysis, the author discovered individual properties and features of linguistic phenomena that remain outside the field of view of the researcher when studying one language; identified systematic  correspondences and inappropriateness between the Kyrgyz and Russian languages. It was found out that certain elements of the description of a person’s physical state in the Russian and Kyrgyz proverbial space are determined by the peculiarities of the mentality of representatives of these linguistic cultures, the national and cultural characteristics of which consist in a different arrangement of semantic accents, the presence / absence of a representation of one or another element of a person’s external appearance
