PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHERS: KYRGYZSTAN AND SINGAPORE

The article presents a comparative analysis of the systems for enhancing teachers’ professional competence in Kyrgyzstan and Singapore. The study examines the features of national policies on teacher professional development, methodological support, continuous education, and mechanisms for improving practical skills. The Singapore “Every Teacher Is an Educator” and the principles of continuous professional learning are compared with Kyrgyz professional development programs, highlighting their similarities and differences. As a result, the paper identifies opportunities for adapting Singapore’s innovative practices to the national educational context of Kyrgyzstan. The conclusion provides recommendations for improving the system of professional development support for Kyrgyz teachers.
